Our Philosophy
Eat Like Chazal
At the beginning, the Jewish people were like chickens pecking at the garbage; any time there was food they grabbed it and ate it, until Moshe came and set specific times for meals.
Talmud, Yoma 75b
There are countless diets out there, but they all fall short once you factor in the Jewish lifestyle — Shabbosim, Yomim Tovim, weddings, simchas, and far more food than previous generations ever had access to. Most diets simply can’t hold up under that reality for long.
Fit Jew is different. It’s a method of living, built on up-to-date nutrition science and grounded in halacha (Shulchan Aruch, Mishna Berura, Siman 157) — not a diet with a start and end date.
Our lifestyle is built on five goals:
- Eating the right foods, and avoiding the wrong ones
- Eating at the times Chazal set for us
- Making food a source of energy, not enslavement
- Reaching and maintaining a healthy weight
- Living it as a way of life, not a temporary plan
This isn’t about restriction. It’s about reclaiming the way we were always meant to eat.
The One who designed our body
didn’t leave us
guessing how to
care for it
He gave us a manual. The One who designed our body
didn’t leave us guessing how to care for it
He gave us a manual.
Long before dieting was a “thing,” Chazal already taught us so much about eating well:
The best times to eat
What to eat
How much to eat
All the “instructions” are right there, in the Gemara and Shulchan Aruch. And yes, current research is finally catching up!
About Dalia
Meet Dalia

Dalia Lutz
Hello and welcome!
I’m Dalia Lutz — and my claim to fame is being the daughter of Rabbi Kigel (“The Fit Jew”)!
As you might imagine, I grew up in a home where being healthy in order to serve Hashem was something we really lived by.
Two years ago, my father asked me to run the women’s track of Fit Jew… and it has been such an incredible experience. I've gotten to work with so many inspiring frum women and help support them on their journey toward the healthy lifestyle Chazal laid out for us.
The Fit Jew is a simple, Torah-based approach that helps you feel in control of your choices and take care of the body Hashem gave you.
I love seeing what happens when women get the method, support, accountability, and encouragement they need — they’re finally able to shed those pounds they’ve been trying to get rid of for YEARS!
I’m so passionate about sharing this with you, and I can’t wait to do this together.
You can do this!
B’hatzlacha,
Dalia
